Giving in Full Swing

Our Seeds of Hope fundraising is in full swing at YCIS Primary Section. To date nearly HK$100,000 has been raised, through a variety of events including:

The Big Draw (October 2011) –On a day dedicated to the art of drawing, children and parents were asked to contribute if they wanted to “dress-down” for the occasion.

  • Year 5 curriculum event (November 2011)--Students performed the musical Sheherazade for their parents; proceeds from ticket sales were donated to Seeds of Hope.
  •  Open Day (December 2011)--See article here.
  •  The Standard Chartered Marathon (February 2012)--Two of our staff Paul Ridley and Michelle Ball took part, raising money for Seeds of Hope in the process.
  • Staff yoga classes (on-going)–Ms. Tijen Vahdettin runs regular yoga classes for staff and asks for contributions to Seeds of Hope for those wanting to take part.

Some staff and students have also organised other, smaller events, contributing to the overall total raised.
