YCIS First 11As Top IGCSE Scorer

Once again YCIS students achieved excellent results in public examinations. A Year 11 student from Yew Chung International School – Secondary received straight As (A* and A) in 11 subjects in the International General Certificate Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations in 2011.

He is the first student in YCIS who achieves 11As and is also awarded “Top of the World” in International Mathematics. Along with this student two other students obtained 10As, two students were awarded 9As and ten students scored 8As.

At YCIS, 110 students sat for over 900 exam papers and each took an average of eight subjects. Each student was awarded 3.7 A*s or As on average. Besides, 22 per cent and 31 per cent of the YCIS students taking the exams scored at least seven and six A*s or As respectively. The following chart further reveals the achievements of the students:
