Christmas Pageant 2021
In collaboration with Primary and Secondary Schools, Music Division, Christian and Community Development Division, the Fellows-in-Residence Division (FIR) conducts the annual Christmas Pageant that features the Year 1 in the Living Nativity, scripture readers from Year 12, along with musicians from Years 5-12 and song leaders from year 8.
Seed from Space: The Story Behind the Collaboration with UNESCO Hong Kong Association
Perfectly matches our school motto, “to align with science and technology”, we recently launched an experiential learning programme on sustainable development by planting seeds from space with the help of Americana Chen, an alumna of Class 2020. The initiative enriched the students’ awareness of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and enhanced the students’ enthusiasm for the latest space technology. We have talked to Americana to learn more about the story behind the collaboration with UNESCO Hong Kong Association.

YCIS students learn about space exploration from the “Father of Chang’e” through cutting-edge holographic technology
In response to growing calls for the advancement of technology in Hong Kong and China, and in keeping with the school’s appeal to align with science and technology, YCIS Hong Kong teamed up with the Hong Kong STEM Education Alliance for an exciting event. Star billing went to Professor Ouyang Ziyuan, the “Father of Chang’e” and a leading light at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, who engaged students in a lively discussion on space exploration through a vivid and instructive holographic appearance.

Nearing its 90th anniversary, Yew Chung Yew Wah Education has inaugurated a broad scholarship programme aimed at recognising and celebrating academic excellence and talent. It also seeks to create opportunities for outstanding students from diverse backgrounds to enjoy the benefits of a quality international education. The Yew Chung Yew Wah Scholarship Programme invites Grades 7-13 students from around the world to apply.
