YCIS Arts Educator Presented Tips on Delivering High-quality Arts Education
YCIS Head of Creative Art department, Mr Jacques Thomass, also an IBDP Visual Art Principal Examiner was recently invited to present in the Asia Region Workshop for Art Educators (ARWAE) 2018 on the topic of “Unpacking the IB Visual Art assessment”. As one of the leading instructors, he gave insights and guidelines on how to best prepare the students and the essential assessment requirements. The informative workshops and the professional exchange resulted in greater enthusiasm and innovative practices for the visual arts classroom, invigorating teaching performance across the region. Through the workshop, the outstanding quality of the YCIS Creative Art community was also made known among the international schools in Asia.
The ARWAE Workshop is designed by teachers for teachers providing direct art-making application and inspiration for classroom teaching in the region where attendees participate as instructors and collaborators in art-making and discussions.
