YCIS Early Childhood Education Grandparents’ Workshop
At YCIS the early childhood education section (ECE) cherish the home-school partnership to enrich the young child’s learning and development journey. Not only do we organise many parent workshops but also one for care-givers and grandparents. We are lucky to have a strong support network with our little students’ grandparents living in Hong Kong. We value their inclusion in their grandchild’s path. YCIS ECE is a play-based and child-led bilingual environment.
Secondary Swim Team Bring Home Medals from ISSFHK Championships
The ISSFHK Swimming Championships were held in November at Victoria Park. Our swim team performed brilliantly and Philip Chen, Sonya Mo and Audrey Lee brought home seven medals between them. Phillip, Sonya and Audrey shared some insights and their aspirations for 2017.

Evening of Science and Technology
On Thursday, December 1 a small group of Lower Secondary students from Years 7 and 8 along with our Science teachers, took part in a special event for VIPs from relocation companies, education consultancies and the media. The annual event was hosted by our Admissions team and took place at the Conrad Hotel. The theme of the evening was ‘Science and Technology’ and our students demonstrated some of their favourite classroom experiments and activities.
VEX IQ Robotics Workshop with Paul Roland Maiquez
YCIS has its very own Scientist-in-Residence (SIR) programme. Recently the SIR team hosted an exciting interactive VEX IQ Robotics Workshop with Paul Roland Maiquez for our Year 4 - 8 students. Mr. Maiquez, an expert in the field put our students through their paces and introduced them to the exciting world of VEX IQ Robotics.
Class of 2016 IGCSE Top Scorers Achieve 11 Straight As
Giselle Lee and Kobe Chen, both currently studying our IB Diploma Programme in Year 12 achieved amazing IGCSE exam results. They were our top scorers for the Class of 2016 passing 11 IGCSEs, all with grade As. What does it take to be a top scorer and what is the IGCSE programme like?
