On Saturday 25th June Yew Chung International School (YCIS) was a key participant in Squarefoot’s inaugural education seminar, open to the public. Mrs. Shirley Mead, Superintendent for YCIS schools, addressed parents on the benefits of bilingualism.

Our students closed the successful year of 2015-2016 with plenty of gatherings to celebrate all ages. Special congratulations to the Class 2016, who graduated on 21 June at the YCIS Secondary campus.
ECE Welcomes New Parents

Multiple Offers for 90% Students from Top World 100 or Top 20 UK Universities
The 2016 Year 13 International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma students of Yew Chung International School – Secondary (YCIS) have just finished their examinations. While they are still waiting for the final results, they are excited to have received multiple university offers. This year, we are delighted to announce that every YCIS IB student has received four university offers on average. Now our students are waiting for the release of their final IB points so that they may confirm which university they will join and soon commence a new and exciting academic journey.
Year 12 Students win ‘Outstanding Project Execution Award’ at Harvard’s China Thinks Big Competition
Back in January we reported news of a group of Year 12 Charity Club students, Alice, Olina, Lora and Kelly who had set up a new project entitled ‘Uniformity’ to help underprivileged school children in Sichuan. The project involved collection of second-hand uniforms from schools across Hong Kong and China, and using the materials to create new items such as pencil cases and shopping bags. The second phase of the project was to sell the new products and donate the proceeds to the students of the Daliang Mountain Primary School in Sichuan.
