 YCIS Celebrates Stone-laying of the First International Education ParkMay 9, 2012 A stone-laying ceremony for the BP International Education Park (IEP) was celebrated on May 9, 2012 in Yizhuang, Beijing. IEP is a pioneering model in mainland China that will have the Yew Chung International School (YCIS) for foreign students and the Yew Wah International Education School for local Chinese students. Both schools will be connected by the Scholars International Conference Centre that will promote cross-cultural learning and invite the greater Beijing community to hold seminars and events.  Art in BLOOMMarch 13, 2012 For the first time, the Artists-in-Residence in YCIS organised an art exhibition and charity auction for Seeds of Hope. The idea of BLOOM came from the process of seeds growing, blooming, bearing fruit, and giving back to the earth, continuing the cycle of life. In art, ideas and inspirations seed in the artists’ brains, grow through their hands and bloom onto the paper, canvas, and clay. As these fruits are exhibited, they in turn become new inspirations in the audience’s minds.  The Collection BoxesFebruary 17, 2012 The children at YCIS ECE Section took part in our Seeds of Hope fundraising event by participating in a home learning activity where they worked with their parents to create their own collection box using recycled materials. Giving in Full SwingFebruary 17, 2012 Our Seeds of Hope fundraising is in full swing at YCIS Primary Section. To date nearly HK$100,000 has been raised, through a variety of events including: |
