This year’s Christmas Concert did not disappoint, as usual! An exceptionally enchanting evening, over 200 guests were treated to a selection of performances from classical to popular movie and Korean song medleys.
More than 50 YCIS – Secondary students impressed the audience with their ability to perform contemporary as well as classical pieces with dexterity and professional poise.
The Christmas Concert Programme featured performances from the Classical Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Concert Choir, Light Orchestra, Combined Orchestra, the Rejoice Choir and the YCIS Glee Club.

The magical evening showcased an entire community of YCIS musical stars. Not to be upstaged by our students, the Rejoice Choir, a small group of YCIS teachers and parents also took to the stage like seasoned professionals with incredible vocal range and fiery passion. The Choir meets once a week and is currently looking for new recruits. Interested staff and parents may contact Josephine Lo by email: josephinel@ycef.com. Plenty of time to get up to speed for next year’s musical extravaganza!
The evening was rounded off with an upbeat dance piece, perfectly choreographed by our Year 13A student, Nicole Tong and the Combined Orchestra performing a selection of Christmas classics for all the family to enjoy. Santa flew in for a surprise visit too and impressed us with his funky dance moves!
YCIS wishes you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
