    YCIS Student Received 10A*s and Thrived in 2019 IGCSE Exams

    • Hong Kong, August 16, 2019 – Congratulations to the Year 11 students on their International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) results announced today. Three students achieved 10A*/As. Four students scored 9A*/As. Another 9 students scored A* or A in 8 subjects. Other YCIS’s students have also received remarkable results in the IGCSE exams.


      Among the 121 students registering for the exams, 93% of them were awarded distinctions or merits.


      In the exams held in May and June 2019:

      • 3 of our students received straight A’s (A* and A) in TEN subjects;
      • 4 students received NINE A’s (A* and A);
      • 9 students obtained EIGHT A’s (A* and A);

      Their achievements are highlighted below:


      No. of Year 11 students sat for IGCSE exams = 121


      No. of Distinction awards = 38


      No. of Merit awards = 74


      Percentage of A*- A grades = 40% of all subjects taken


      Percentage of A* - C grades = 88% of all subjects taken

Such results symbolize the success and commitment of YCIS’s unique educational approach in nurturing academically able students with bilingual proficiency, global and multi-cultural mindset and prepare them for the challenges in the 21st century.
